I am running to add a new perspective to the Cambridge Board of Education. The school district faces challenges, and as a problem-solver, I look forward to working together with students, school staff, the board, and community to ensure students are receiving the best education possible.

Hi, I’m Jesus. My husband, Mitch, and I live in the Town of Oakland. We are excited to plant our roots and grow our family in the Cambridge community. I have enjoyed getting involved in our community and hope to earn your support to be the newest voice on the Board of Education.

Fight For Resources For Students to Thrive

With the support of the community, the 2023 operating referendum passed successfully. This was something I was in strong support of. Now, the challenge is to effectively manage the money to ensure district administration and staff have adequate resources to execute their strategic plan, giving students the best learning environment.

Supporting Diversity in Schools

The world is an ever-evolving place, and the education Cambridge students receive should reflect that. It is critical the district emphasizes diversity, equity, and inclusion through its hiring and teaching practices to ensure students are being taught with contemporary pedagogical practices.

Clear, Consistent Communication

In recent school board elections, a concern with board communication and transparency was raised. It is the goal of our campaign and once on the board, if elected, to maintain a consistent, open dialogue between the community and myself. I hope to utilize my professional skills in the field of communication to elevate the board’s communication efforts
